REFERENCING AND WORK HISTORY
Schools have a duty of care to both staff and pupils to ensure that all reasonable checks are undertaken for any given role. Work history and reference checks allow schools to verify information already provided by an individual as part of their application.
OVERSEAS CRIMINAL CHECK
Schools hiring candidates that have spent more than 6 months overseas during the last 5 years need to conduct overseas police checks in accordance with that country’s justice system and UK requirements.
